Change For Hope – What Do We Do?
Training & Education
Hope for a better future is in Education. CFH has provided 4 scholarships for post high school education to 4 students, 2 men and two women.
Our Montessori trained teacher finished her certification in in 2013 and currently works in Dubai. The first Graduate from college was in pharmacy in 2014. The nursing and sociology students will graduate in 2016 from colleges in Pokhara and in Tansen/Palpa.
We currently purchase uniforms for two small children homes and sponsor 4 students in private schools where children have the hope of a good education to change their lives.
We also teach ESL and Brain Gym to both adults and children during our stays and hold many classes on Social behavior.
Since 2005 we have supplied the needy with milk cows, goats, clothing, educational materials, dental and eye clinics, teaching supplies, uniforms and sundries. We were in the process of refurbishing a school in the affected area when the quake decimated the work we had done. The quake of 2015 changed our immediate focus to feed those in these affected areas where we have worked. We supplied over 1500 people in Dolakha with rice, ghee, salt, lentil and sugar to last one month. Through CFH our graduate pharmacy student provided a free health checkup for 100 people in Dhading ( and more food) and supplied the families with much needed pharmacy. We, in conjunction with another nonprofit supplied roofing materials in Dhading.
