ChangeforHope001.org has had a busy two months with outreach programs, distribution of blankets and much requested bibles- warming the body and soul. Each trip required many hours of travel in buses and hours of walking.
Sandip ( project manager) and Chandra attended and helped to organize a youth outreach program for three days where students came on bikes , scooters and motorcycles to hear the gospel in Nawalprasi Sharjung which took place early December.
Mid December two meetings took place to discuss the work on the school project in Babare, Dolakha with Nick Abraham in Sanku. Another trip is planed to evaluate the situation with government funding and the rebuilding. A return trip took place a week later.
Late December another 4 day trip to distribute much asked for Bibles and a one day seminar-Nawalprasi sharjung.
- JAN 6 – 4 day trip into the mountain area in Dhading ( an 8 hr hike in after 6 hrs on the road)-to the village of Kutal and youth seminar
- JAN 12– 3 day trip for blanket distribution program in sergunj nawalparasi as we were told in the previous seminar that some of the poorest of the poor were without blankets and sleeping under straw.
- JAN 16– meeting with Tanya from the Ground UP-about babare dolaka school – Sanku
- JAN 26– Seminar and conference village of Mygadhi in Pokhara area
We were able to check on our goat project from last year in Kutal where we distributed goats to widows ( after the earthquake), this project was a success as you can see from the pictures. Where there was once 3, now 7-10 goats.
