No petrol either for over 4 weeks now and so electric is the only way or wood burning. In Kathmandu we have furnished electrical multi-purpose cooking pots to childrens homes and also to individuals who volunteer their time to ChangeforHope. Enjoy the joy of cooking!!!! Please continue to give your change at changeforhope001.org I am returning every year to make sure your dollars are spent wisely and with integrity. During this time we have bought shoes for two childrens’ homes, uniforms and many other things. Bless others and be blessed.

SonamSONAM

Sonam is 16 years old. Sonam means MYSTERIOUS (in Tibetan language) and FORTUNATE in Hindi language. He came in the Mercy Children Home 11 years ago while his age was just 5 year old very young boy. He is from a tribe called Lhomi (one of the most backward ethnic group or indigenous group of Nepal) from the Himalayan region place called Shankhuwasabha.

Dinner

What can one say about the trip to Dolkha.  I went  to check on the school project and found a  trust in God …

Rain has been unusual in Nepal this year and another few days of rain put the trip off to  Dolakha the mountain village area where I have been working with Pastor James, refurbishing a school these last two years.

Motorcycle Riding

The air hangs thick with moisture as I hide behind Sandip  while riding on the back of the motorcycle to get to an English speaking church in Lazimpat.  No amount of layers of clothing can keep the air from penetrating…but the windbreaker was a great joy to have on. My grey hat is pulled tightly over my head (toppee) while the back of it  hangs down and covers my neck..I look much like a Ninja turtle with the green windbreaker over my backpack and with glasses on….hehehe. Church was good to meet other people working to meet the needs of Nepali people.  Small and intimate with Nepali and other nationals from the US, NZ, Pakistan, and India.  We sang out of sync but to the glory of God…such a sweet sound off key but all loving voices for Him. Loving deeply, small but involved in prison ministry, street children ministry and women trafficking ministry.  Powerful in their love.
